Yash Dubey is a cinematographer working between Canada and India, specializing in Commercials, narrative films and documentaries. Often described as a “Swiss Army knife” on set, he brings versatility, creative intuition, and technical precision to every project.

He went on to spend four years at William F. White International which is the biggest Rental house in North America as a lighting and camera technician, gaining hands-on experience across high-end productions and complex shooting environments.

A graduate of Toronto Film School with a focus on cinematography, Yash began his career teaching at the institution, mentoring emerging filmmakers while refining his own visual language.

After relocating to India, Yash has shot a range of Projects collaborating with esteemed directors and diverse creative teams. Several of these projects have been featured at international film festivals and received critical recognition.He continues to work across feature films and commercial projects.

In parallel, he conducts cinematography workshops with Canon India and leads residency programs centered on practical, hands-on storytelling.

His experience spans large-scale productions as well as independent films and documentaries, with a consistent focus on capturing authentic emotion and crafting visually compelling narratives.

Yash is also a member of IATSE Local 667, representing camera professionals across North America.
